Car vs. Motorcycle Accident South of Thorp

-There was a car vs. motorcycle accident just south of Thorp Saturday afternoon.According to the accident report, a 2000 Chevy Impala, being driven by a 17-year-old girl from Thorp, stopped at the intersection of Highway N and Highway M south of Thorp. A 2014 Chevy Silverado, driven by a 24-year-old from Gilman, was traveling down Highway M and being followed by a motorcycle, driven by a 29-year-old Gilman man. The 17-year-old noticed the truck, but not the motorcycle. After the truck went by, she went through the intersection before noticing the motorcycle. She tried to speed through the intersection, but was struck by the motorcycle.
The motorcycle hit the back passenger door. The car spun around and entered the north ditch. The motorcycle landed in the intersection and the rider was thrown into the northbound lane of traffic. The driver of the motorcycle was transported by helicopter to St. Joseph’s Hospital.
