Neillsville School Board Hears Update on Office and Entry Project

-The Neillsville School Board heard a building and school safety update at their meeting on Monday.The office and entry project is under way. Prep work on the office began on June 10th and, currently, the old block walls have been demoed and they’re beginning to construct and paint the new walls, which is scheduled to last until the end of next week. Within that time, the new electric wiring will be installed and Marshfield Glass will install the new doors at the beginning of July. After that, the new flooring will be installed by Russell’s and paint work in the hallways will begin. After that, Russell’s will install flooring in the hallways from the end of July into early August and a new pool pump will be installed around that time as well. The board also heard the cleaning schedule. Some of those dates for the project and cleaning could change.
The board also heard a list of future projects the district would like and needs to tackle. The list includes the shop area, field house lobby exterior doors, HVAC electronic controls, the track, the bus garage driveway, informational signage, the field house synthetic floor, roofing for the middle school, pool roof and high school auditorium with gutters, the high school entrance, a remodel of the elementary bathroom and HVAC for the elementary. As of now, the projected cost for all of those projects would be $1,274,767.17.
