Names of Officer and Victim in Fatal Wood County Shooting Released

-The names of the officer and victim in fatal shooting in Wood County have been released.Last Tuesday, the Wood County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a 32-year-old suicidal man at a home in the Village of Arpin. While deputies were talking with an interventionist, the man went into the home and armed himself with a knife. There was a struggle and one of the deputies fired his gun. The deputy accidentally hit Deputy Cory Leigh in the struggle. Leigh has since been released from the hospital.
The suicidal man, 32-year-old Logan Johnsrud of Marshfield was killed in the shooting. Another civilian was injured in the shooting, but the name of that individual hasn’t been released.
