SHERMAN ON WAY OUT AS GM?

A newspaper is reporting today Green Bay Packers president Bob Harlan is poised to strip coach Mike Sherman of his general manager duties, and pursue Seattle Seahawks vice president of football operations Ted Thompson for the GM job. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel quoted two National Football League sources it said are familiar with the Packers. It said the sources report it is widely known in NFL circles that Harlan is prepared to split the duties and make a run at Thompson.
