Public Works and Officer's Report at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council heard the Public Works Report at their meeting on Tuesday.The usual amount of work was done in the city including equipment maintenance, cemetery and parks maintenance, working on the ball diamonds, trimming and pruning trees, maintaining street lighting, filling pot holes, hauling brush and compost, street sweeping, opening storm drains and more. The Water Department also did some clean up from winter water leaks and the Sewer Department did some lift station maintenance and worked on summer projects. They also repaired some storm sewer inlets. Finally, they did a tree inspection with the contractor who planted some trees. They will be replacing several trees under warranty that did not survive.
The council also heard the Report of Officers. For the month of May, the department had 152 complaints, 123 service calls, 55 traffic citations, 70 traffic warnings, 9 crash investigations, 9 ordinance citations, 5 adult arrests, 3 cases referred to the district attorney, 12 juventile cases and 22 parking citations.
