Administrators' Reports at Greenwood School Board Meeting

-The Greenwood School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting last week.Elementary Principal Joe Green shared registration numbers for Summer School, highlighted the Hoops for Heart event celebration and professional development is underway for the new K-8 reading program starting in the fall. He also stated both the elementary and high school have been recognized as ADAM Heart Safe Schools. He offered a big thanks to Penny Wehrs for spearheading that. Athletic Director and Dean of Students Jenny Mayenschein provided a recap of the spring sports season. An update was provided on new coaches and current open coaching positions. There will be basketball, volleyball and football camps available for the district’s athletes this summer. A fall sport season preview was also provided.
Finally, District Administrator Todd Felhofer provided the board with an update on the progress of the State Budget, the Second Annual Senior Picnic was held on May 20th, the 2019 Graduation Ceremony went very well and the District Office will be open M-Th 7:30 am to 3:30 pm during the summer.
