Wisconsin FFA Association Elects New President

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The Wisconsin FFA Association has a new president.Collin Weltzien of the Arcadia FFA Chapter was elected during the closing session of the 90th Wisconsin FFA Convention on Thursday to replace out-going leader Amelia Hayden of the Big Foot FFA. Other members of the newly elected 2019-20 state officer team include Ryan Erickson, Barron, vice president; Lindsey Augustine, Ellsworth, vice president; Curtis Weltzien, Arcadia, treasurer; Grace Morrissey, Shullsburg, vice president; Emily Sheehan, Parkview, sentinel; Jared Mack, Sauk Prairie, secretary; Daniel Clark, Spencer, vice president; Lydia Williams, Shawano, reporter; Joe Schlies, Denmark, parliamentarian; and Michelle Stangler, Watertown, vice president.
Meanwhile, two other students were selected to join the state officers as official delegates at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis this fall. They are Ben Styer of the Menomonie FFA and Cortney Zimmerman from Spencer. The annual conference was attended by over 3,700 students, family and supporters. All of the events took place at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.
