Greenwood School Board Approves Several Items

-The Greenwood School Board approved a handful of items at their meeting on Monday.The board approved the elimination of Athletic Fees for 2019-2020 and approved maintaining school lunch and breakfast prices at the 2018-19 level. It was also stated the 2019-2020 budget development is progressing. The board also approved the membership renewal to the WIAA for 2019-2020 and they received the AGR year-end report from Elementary Principal Joe Green. The board also approved joining the Rural Virtual Academy consortium. The board conducted the first reading of Policy 5451.03 regarding the Valedictorian & Salutatorian. The board also received the policy recommendations contained in Update 28-1 and the board will do a first reading of policies between 1000-4000 at the July meeting.
The board also received an update on the Elementary School Office/Entry project, which is scheduled to begin this week. Finally, the board reviewed a list of probable summer projects, tabled discussion of a letter regarding Fitness Center access from the City of Greenwood and approved the CESA 10 employment contract of School Psychologist/Director of Special Education for 2019-2020.
