Marshfield Police Department Field Strange Calls

-The Marshfield Police Department fielded a number of odd calls this past weekend and into the beginning of this week.At 11:05 a.m. Monday, a Marshfield man reported unwanted social media contact from a Granton woman. An officer determined both the man and woman were inappropriate in their social media communication with each other and warned both of them not to communicate with each other. At 2:57 a.m. Sunday, police arrested a 36-year-old Owen woman on suspicion of drunken driving, methamphetamine possession and drug paraphernalia possession and a 35-year-old Marshfield man on suspicion of methamphetamine possession, drug paraphernalia possession and bail jumping during a traffic stop in the 200 block of East Veterans Parkway. At 8:42 p.m. Sunday, police arrested a 39-year-old Marshfield man on suspicion of battery, strangulation and disorderly conduct, all as a domestic abuse incident, and a probation hold, after officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
At 2:28 p.m. Saturday, a Marshfield woman reported her boyfriend, a 33-year-old Marshfield man, punched her in the face several times and strangled her. Police talked to the man and arrested him on suspicion of battery, strangulation, obstructing an officer and possession of multiple controlled substances. At 7:37 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a fight in the 1700 block of Marcy Court. A 39-year-old Marshfield woman is suspected of injuring a woman and child. And at 3:43 a.m. Saturday, several callers reported a nude man wandering in the middle of the intersection of West Arnold Street and St. Joseph's Avenue. Police found the 21-year-old Marshfield man and he was under the influence of a controlled substance. Police arrested the man on suspicion of lewd and lascivious behavior, felony bail jumping and disorderly conduct.
