Athens Man Found Not Competent in Child Sexual Assault Case

-An Athens man charged for repeated sexual assault of a child appeared in Marathon County Court on Thursday.According to court records, Brandon Langreck assaulted a girl, under the age of 16, three times between the end of January and the end of April in the Village of Spencer. Langreck was out on bond on another assault charge and wasn’t supposed to have contact with anyone under the age of 21. He’s being charged with repeated sexual assault of a child and three counts of bail jumping.
During a recent court appearance in May, a competency hearing was ordered. During the hearing on Tuesday, Langreck was found not competent and his case was suspended. He’s scheduled for a status hearing on July 23rd.
