Jury Finds Black River Falls Man Guilty of Child Sexual Assault

-A Black River Falls man charged with sexual assault of a child and incest was found guilty during a jury trial in Jackson County Court last week.According to court records, the victim stated they were sexually assaulted by Stanley Ross Wise Jr. beginning when they were 12 and continuing until the end of April of 2018. The victim stated that the assaults increased over time.
After a trial, the jury found Wise guilty of two counts of repeated sexual assault of the same child. Another charge was dismissed on the prosecutor’s motion. A pre-sentencing investigation was ordered and he’s scheduled for sentencing on August 23rd.
