Clark County Community Foundation Awards Scholarships

-The Clark County Community Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce the winners of its 2019 Scholarship Program.

Nine Clark County students have each been awarded a $300 Clark County Community Foundation Scholarship to be used for tuition or other post-secondary educational expenses this fall. Now in its fifth year, the Community Scholarship Program was created to provide additional financial resources to eligible students living in Clark County and pursuing an education beyond high school. In addition, the Foundation manages three Endowed Scholarships. The Eric Pentz Memorial Scholarship, for $300, is awarded to a Greenwood High School student in memory of Eric Pentz, a 1994 graduate of GHS. The Harry and Esther King Memorial Scholarship, for $250, is awarded to a Neillsville HS student in memory of Harry and Esther King, long-time area residents and strong advocates of agriculture and education. The Teresa Johnson Memorial Scholarship, for $300 is awarded to a student from Clark County who exhibits strong leadership qualities and community service efforts.

This year’s recipients of the 2019 Community Scholarship includes Abbotsford graduate Kallie Falteisek, Thorp graduate Courtney Frankewicz, Greenwood graduate Brooke Hinker, Greenwood graduate Karson Humke, Thorp graduate Cora Luzinski, Owen-Withee graduate Dalton Matkovich, Neillsville graduate Logan McQuade, Neillsville graduate Lucas Mosely and Neillsville graduate Rayle Winegarten. The Eric Pentz Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Greenwood graduate Walker Suda. The Harry and Esther King Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Neillsville graduate Lucas Mosely. The Teresa Johnson Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Colby graduate Katerina Kolzow.
