Boards of Directors for ProVision Partners and Federation Cooperative Give Approval Towards Proposed Merger

Tuesday, June 11th, 2019 -- 8:53 AM

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The members of two central Wisconsin agricultural cooperatives have given their approval towards a proposed merger.

The boards of directors for the Marshfield-based ProVision Partners and Federation Cooperative of Black River Falls announced that a mail-in ballot vote on the proposed unification of the two companies has passed. As a result, the newly created entity will be called ProVision Partners Cooperative, effective October 1. ProVision's Rob Larson will remain as general manager and CEO of the new company, while Federation Cooperative CEO Keith Holm will step down to pursue other opportunities.

ProVision Partners was formed in 2015 as a result of the merger between Harmony Country Cooperative and Central Wisconsin Cooperative. In June 2012, the Federation Cooperative merged with Hixton Fairchild Farmers Co-op. With this came the Cheese Hut, Northfield Town Mart, Double T Quik Stop, and Fairchild C-Store. The newly formed venture will service a trade area north and south from Abbotsford to Tomah and west to east from Blair to Stevens Point.
