Meanwhile, voters in Loyal will have a new mayor after the spring elections; and they?ll have two candidates to choose from. Current Mayor Art Olsen is retiring from the position. Barbara Vancil, co-owner of a motel and restaurant, will square off against current council member Randy Anderson. It doesn?t appear that Olsen, who served six terms as Mayor, will get too far away from city politics, as he has filed as candidate for city council position.Feel free to contact us with questions and/or comments.
