Abbotsford Man Sentenced in Eau Claire County

An Abbotsford man charged for possessing child pornography and child sexual assault was sentenced in Eau Claire County Court on Friday.According to court records, in early December of 2018, the Eau Claire Police Department received tips from CyberTips, from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, regarding Garry James. James was living at the Beacon House in Eau Claire. James was arrested and two tablets were seized.
During an interview, James admitted to authorities that he assaulted two young girls.
Back in February, James pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of child pornography. Nine other charges were dismissed and read in. He was sentenced to 4 years in prison and 6 years of extended supervision.
