Clark County Board of Supervisors Approves Several Resolutions

-The Clark County Board of Supervisors approved an appointment to begin their meeting on Thursday.The board approved David Newman to the Planning & Zoning Committee Board of Adjustment. The board approved the Forestry and Parks Department to apply for grant funding for trail maintenance for the Knobby Ridge Motorcycle Trail. They also approved the department to apply for funding to create maps for Clark County’s ATV/UTV trail system. The board also approved a resolution expressing condolences to the family of Richard Jarocki, a former board member who passed away. Finally, the board approved a resolution creating a non-lapsing fund for the Clark County Sheriff’s Department to acquire, maintain and sell equipment as part of the U.S. Department of Defense’s 1033 Program.
The 1033 Program is a federal program that allows the U.S. Department of Defense to transfer excess supplies and equipment to local law enforcement agencies. They can transfer vehicles, weapons, radios and other equipment and gear at no cost with the exception of any shipping and maintenance costs. This fund would help cover the shipping costs of those items.
