Eau Claire Woman Arrested in Osseo for Possession Enters Plea in Court

-One of two people from Eau Claire, arrested in the City of Osseo for possession of methamphetamine, entered a plea in Trempealeau County Court on Tuesday.According to the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department, back in December, deputies made contact with a vehicle at the SuperAmerica Gas Station in Osseo, occupied by Kevin Bell and Megan Rasmussen. The contact was made after Rasmussen agreed to sell methamphetamine to an undercover investigator. A K9 unit alerted to drugs in the vehicle and, after a search, 14 grams of methamphetamine was discovered as was packaging material and other paraphernalia. During Rasmussen’s court appearance on Tuesday, she was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, possession with intent-amphetamine.
Two other charges were dismissed and read in. A pre-sentencing investigation was ordered and she scheduled for sentencing on July 16th. Last week, Bell was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, possession with intent-amphetamine. Another charge was dismissed and read in. He was sentenced to 1 year and 2 months in prison and 4 years of extended supervision.
