Neillsville Fire Department Responds to Chimney Fire

-The Neillsville Fire Department responded to a chimney fire on Wednesday.

According to the department, they received a call around 6:42pm on Wednesday regarding a chimney fire.  The fire was at W5672 Sherwood Road in the Township of Levis.  The fireplace had malfunctioned and the chimney was slightly plugged.  There was minor smoke damage to the home.

The department was on scene for 40 minutes, there were no injuries on their part and they received assistance from the Clark County Sheriff’s Department and Neillsville Ambulance Service.
