Monday, April 29th, 2019 -- 2:53 PM
-The first Clark County Business-to-Business Expo and Career Fair is being held in conjunction with the Clark County Economic Development Corporation’s Annual Meeting on Wednesday, May 8th at Clark Electric Cooperative in Greenwood. This event was put together after teachers at local school districts said they were taking their students to job fairs in Wausau and Eau Claire. It was decided that an event needed to be held for the students here. That morning, the CCEDC will be holding their Annual Meeting. After the meeting, those in attendance will be served a delicious breakfast and CCEDC members and businesses in attendance will be able to visit the other booths at the expo to build connections and see what’s available in Clark County. Then around 10:45, the Junior and Senior students, with some sophomores and freshmen as well, will tour the expo and see what careers are available in Clark County.
Then, around 3pm in the afternoon, the expo will be open to the public, so those that may be looking to move to the area or looking for a career change can see what’s available. If you’d like to participate in the expo, just contact the CCEDC at [email protected] or call them at 715-255-9100. They currently have around 45 businesses signed up to take part and will have other state and local resources there for students and businesses.
