THORP SPECIAL OLYMPIAN HEADING BACK TO WORLD GAMES

An area special Olympian is making a return trip to the 2005 Special Olympics World Winter Games. 27-year-old Carolyn Voelker of Thorp will first attend a training camp for nearly 200 Team USA special Olympians in Colorado and then ? in a couple months - it?s off to Nagano, Japan for the World Games. Voelker is a veteran of the World Games. She attended the 1995 World Games in Connecticut, the 2000 Pre-World Games in Alaska and the 2003 World Summer Games in Ireland where she earned two silver medals in the 1500m and 3000m run.Feel free to contact us with questions and/or comments.
