DOT OFFERS ROAD CONDITION REPORTS ON-LINE
Monday, November 29th, 2004 -- 10:55 AM
?Tis the season for poor driving conditions. Before you head out on the highways you may want to check road conditions. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation's Web site is now offering road condition reports. Main state highways are shown on a map and colors indicate highway conditions, ranging from green - for roads that are clear, to red - for roads that are snow covered and slippery, to pink - for roads that are closed. The road condition report is normally updated four times a day. If driving conditions worsen, the report may be updated more frequently. Similar information is available on the DOT's 1-800-ROAD WIS toll free phone line. The road report is available on-line at www.dot.wisconsin.gov. Then click on "Road conditions."Feel free to contact us with questions and/or comments.
