-An Osseo man charged with child abuse, after a baby was brought to the emergency room with bruising and swelling in the brain, appeared in Trempealeau County Court on Monday.According to court records, on December 3rd a baby was brought in having seizures and was flown to the hospital in Rochester. The baby also had bruising around the arms, chest and had a possible brain hemorrhage. Police questioned 23-year-old Mitchel Feyen who said he was frustrated with another child, threw the infant onto the couch and the infant fell off and hit the floor. He later admitted that he may have thrown the infant right onto the floor. He was arrested and faces up to 15 years in prison.
During his court appearance on Monday, Feyen was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, child abuse-recklessly causing great harm. A pre-sentencing investigation was ordered and a sentencing date has not been set at this time.
