Sparta Woman Sentenced for Possession Arrest in Jackson County Court

-One of two people arrested for possession after a traffic stop in Black River Falls was sentenced in Jackson County Court on Monday.According to the Black River Falls Police Department, in July of 2018, they pulled over a car with no license. The driver and passenger, Trisha Abbott-Mathews of Sparta and Mariah Williamson of Stoddard, were shaking and couldn’t explain who the vehicle was registered to. A K-9 unit located meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Abbott-Mathews pleaded guilty to a charge of bail jumping. Three other charges were dismissed and read in. She was sentenced to 2 years of probation. Williamson was sentenced to 1 year of probation for a possession charge back in February.
