Local Cheesemaker Elected to Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association will have a new leader for the coming year.Dave Buholzer of Klondike Cheese Company in Monroe was elected to serve as president of the group's board of directors during the Cheese Industry Conference in Madison last week. Buholzer is a longtime Master Cheesemaker and serves on the governor's Dairy Task Force 2.0. He succeeds outgoing president Kim Heiman of Nasonville Dairy in Marshfield. Other board officers include Steve Bechel of Eau Galle Cheese Factory, first vice president, Chris Sandretti of Saputo Cheese USA, second vice president; Mike Neu, treasurer; and Greg Siegenthaler of Grande Cheese Company, secretary.
Meanwhile, delegates elected several new members to the board. They include Mike Hinrichsen of Associated Milk Producers, Randy LaGrander of LaGrander's Hillside Dairy, Tim Omer of Emmi Roth USA, and Mike Sipple of Agropur Inc.
