Next weekend is also the kick off for the Bloomin’ Greenhouses event that lasts throughout the summer and into the fall. The committee also heard an update on the CCEDC’s Annual Meeting, Business-to-Business Expo and Career Fair being held at Clark Electric in Greenwood on May 8th. The group also heard a preview presentation from Neillsville Improvement Corporation President Dan Clough on the Rails-to-Trails Project. That presentation is also being held tonight at the Clark County Courthouse in the County Board Room in Neillsville beginning at 6:30pm.
They also had lengthy conversations on other projects happening around the county, the need to attract and retain young people in the county, having better internet connectivity and the need for county residents to embrace change that would benefit the county and our communities. The group also heard some updates on The Highground, updates from the Forestry and Parks Department and was reminded about the Friends of the Black River’s river clean up on April 27th.
