Employment Matters and More at Neillsville School Board Meeting

-The Neillsville School Board discussed employment matters at their meeting on Monday.The board approved the retirement of Marcus Schultz from his bus driving position, Diane Diestler from her elementary teaching position and Brent Dickinsen from his librarian position. The board also approved the renewal of bus driver contracts for the 2019-2020 school year as presented. The board also heard the Administrators’ Reports. Elementary Principal Scott Schiller reported on attendance, summer school registration, April 3rd-17th was Forward Exam Testing, April 12th was 4K registration and open house, April 18th is the 6th grade musical and Miss Wisconsin will visit on April 26th.
High School Principal Craig Anderson reported on attendance, a middle school ELA student teacher, middle school academic interventions, 8th graders went to a reality store on April 9th, May 28th is the 8th grade promotion ceremony, Youth Apprenticeship, a greenhouse update, an FFA update and vocal music updates. Finally, District Administrator John Gaier reported on a Cummins award ceremony, a thank you note, a request to extend the summer lunch program, updates on all of the latest referenda from the spring election, two Focus articles and Rick Opelt’s letter of resignation from the board.
