Highground To Hold Veterans Retreats

The Highground is reminding veterans to register for one of their Veterans’ Retreats.The Highground is holding two male retreats and one female retreat. The Highground, partnering with the Vet Center, will hold 3 Veterans Weekend Retreats this year for veterans that are interested in experiencing fun activities, learning new skills and meeting fellow veterans all in a relaxed outdoor environment. There is an abundance of camaraderie, fun and great food in the 3-day weekend retreats and, even though they’re not professional counselling events, many veterans have found that a great amount of healing with PTSD and other service related issues have taken place during these retreats. The bond between veterans of any era is strong and many lasting friendships have been formed at the weekend retreats.
The Highground Veterans Retreat Weekends are being held the weekend of July 12th-14th and September 13th-15th for male veterans and the weekend of September 6th-8th for female veterans. They are open to any veteran of any era, combat or non-combat. They are free for veterans to attend, but a $30 deposit, refunded to the veteran upon arrival at the retreat, is required as is registration to secure a spot for the veteran.
