Mark Your Calendars for Memorial Day at The Highground

-There will be many ways to honor those who we’ve lost at The Highground on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27th.Beginning at 11:30am, the names of all Wisconsin’s KIA/MIAs during the Korean War, Vietnam War, Desert Storm, OIF, OEF and through the present day will be read. Volunteers are needed to read the names and for many other jobs that day. At 2pm, the Memorial Day Honor Ride Motorcycle Rally will ride into The Highground. There are guided motorcycle routes starting in the morning that will be gathering in Neillsville before riding as one Honor Ride into The Highground from Appleton, King/Waupaca, Neillsville, Eau Claire, Medford, Wisconsin Rapids, Tomah and Reedsburg. Please come to The Highground to welcome the riders.
The ceremony will begin at 3pm. Notable guest speakers will include Gold Star parents and military veterans. Music will also be performed during the ceremony as will a color guard and rifle salute.
