(WRN) -Republicans are telling their appointees to go back to work, despite a decision made by Governor Evers last month.Legislators want the Third District Court of appeals in Wausau to clarify its ruling staying a judge's decision striking down last year's lame duck session laws. In the time between that ruling and the stay, Governor Evers rescinded a swath of appointees that were voted in during the lame duck session. He decided not to return 15 of them to their positions.
Governor Evers' office maintains that the move was legal at the time they did it, and that they're allowed to appoint new people.
