Black River Falls Man Sentenced for High Speed Chase in Chippewa County

-A Black River Falls man arrested for a high speed chase in Eau Claire and Chippewa County was sentenced in Chippewa County Court on Tuesday.According to the Lake Hallie Police Department, they received reports of a theft at a home. When they arrived, the suspects were in the back yard and fled the scene. The chase went from Lake Hallie to Highway 53 to I-94 and reached speeds of 100 mph. The vehicle eventually crashed and the suspect was taken into custody.
Corey Sprinkle was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, fleeing an officer and possession of narcotics. Two other charges were dismissed but read in. Sprinkle was sentenced to two years of probation.
