Mid State Technical College dean Missy Skurzewski-Servant says their hospitality management program will get you situated on a long term career.
"It's not just specific to one particular area of hospitality, like it just focuses in on culinary, or just focuses in on lodging, our program prepares students for all."
Skurzewski-Servant says there's many things that go into a degree in hospitality management.
"Revenue management, food and beverage, menu planning, room operations, for those who would be going into an aspect of the industry relating to events planning."
Skurzewski-Servant says they're working with employers around the state to get people into their hospitality program.
"They're not only looking for good workers, but the want to retain really good workers who are highly skilled and want to continue to stay passionate about the industry and stay in the industry."
A number of the other colleges do offer either culinary or catering or service degrees. You can contact your local technical college to find out more.
