Sean Duffy Talks Green New Deal

(WRN) -Seventh District Congressman Sean Duffy says he's skeptical of the proposed Green New Deal being ventured by the Democrats in the House.Speaking at a town hall meeting in Merrill, Duffy said he…
"I like clean air and clean water but I also want to make sure I have jobs too. And I think there's a right balance to say, let's keep pushing the envelope, doing things with more renewables in a more clean fashion."
Duffy says over-regulation could not only cost jobs but actually hurt the environment as well.
"And if you do that, then you send your jobs and your manufacturing to China where they have no standards. And in the end we're worse off on the environmental front than if we were actually doing a slow push."
He says he's worried that over regulation will cause job losses across the country and that we'd be better off with a slower approach using more renewables and nuclear power rather than a large move to green initiatives.
