Owen City Council Hears CDC Report

-The Owen City Council heard the Community Development Authority’s Report at their meeting last week.

Tim Swiggum reported the traffic counts were complete for the Quite Zone Study, although a notice of intent will still be needed as far as installing dividers. The Owen-Withee Business Expo will be held April 6th at the Old School and meetings are being held twice a week for planning. The Clark County Economic Development Committee met. No location has yet been set for Farm Progress Days. The CWAIC board will meet again soon and either disperse or move forward with some stated purpose.

Also, Heartland offices have moved to Owen. They hope to be finished by July with the rail spur and parking lot. Engineers have set a bid date and process for Colman Street. The County Emergency Management meeting was held March 7th. Plans will be finalized late summer. The Planning Committee held a productive meeting last week and the Downtown Revitalization Committee will be meeting this week.
