Administrators' Reports at Owen-Withee School Board Meeting

-The Owen-Withee School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting last week.Elementary Principal Lance Batchelor announced that due to the efforts of Dee Wells, the Elementary School is the recipient of a $500 grant from the Exxon/Mobil Educational Alliance. The money will be used for an educational program in the coming months. Jack Wendler won the National Geographic Geography Bee, with Christian Romo finishing as the runner-up. Child Development Days for incoming 4K students was held on March 7th. 26 students were screened to go along with the 5 that have already registered. There are 14 students who were not able to attend the event.
The Elementary School had its “Read In” on March 1st, in celebration of Dr., Seuss’s birthday and Summer School registration is just around the corner. Summer School this year will run from June 10th through June 28th. District Administrator Bob Houts thanked board members, staff, students and community members for the help with the roof situation on Friday, March 1st. A lot of help made the situation much more manageable.
