The district has filed a formal request for relief from the conference they are assigned to, with looking for a grouping that is more similar to our size and ability, rather than simple distance/geography. The district will go before the Board of Control of the WIAA on April 16th to plead its case. The board also reviewed and then approved the 2019-20 contract with CESA 10 and they discussed the ECCP Applications for 2019-20. The board unanimously approved the applications. The board also approved the retirement of Girls’ Basketball Coach Al Guthman and thanked him for the many years of service and for the development of a quality program. Finally, the board reviewed a request from Jr/Hg Dean of Students Julie Van Ark to eliminate the .5 computer credit needed for graduation, which is currently being completed in7th grade, and adding an additional .5 credits of Literature to the seventh grade schedule. This will give 7th grade students a full credit of reading for the year. The board unanimously approved the request.
