(WRN) -Hopes that bitter cold winter temperatures would wipe out the invasive Emerald Ash Borer have been dashed.Scientists with the Department of Natural Resources have some bad news -- that's not going to happen. A forest health specialist says living and healthy larvae in large numbers have been found in the Brookfield area. The Emerald Ash Borer has killed millions of ash trees in the Upper Midwest.
Scientists had hoped temperatures reaching 30-degrees below zero would stop the march of the invasive pest.
