Administrators' Reports at Granton School Board Meeting

-The Granton School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting on Monday.Principal Amanda Kraus reported that she’s been in contact with the TRG about including Granton’s newsletter in the paper. They are looking at the same newspaper spread as Loyal. They would like to run Early Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring. Their newsletter would be offset with the running of other school newsletters and, once set up, could run one week following article turn in. This would increase the district’s audience and also increase the timely turnaround of the newspapers. She also provided an update on ACP and Mid-State. She met with leadership and they have continued this year to forge partnerships through the work study program and dual certification programs.
Next year, they are looking to partner with them even further, adding them as a resource to the district’s ACP curricula support, enabling some career specific connections to be created. Finally, she stated they’re setting up the schedule for next school year. Pupil/Behavioral Services and the principal have been researching adding in a mindfulness component to the beginning of every school day.
