Greenwood School Board Hears Update on Make-Up Days

-The Greenwood School Board heard an update on make-up days for the district due to inclement weather.Administration provided the board an update on the schedule of make-up days due to the number of cancellations. The district calendar now meets the required number of hours of instruction for students. The board also received an update on the CWETN courses and number of students registering for them in 2019-20. The board was also provided an overview of the district’s financial procedures, a Universal Grant Guidance requirements overview and the 1st Reading of NEOLA policies: 1130, 3230, 6110, 6320, 6220 and 6325. All those policies are related to Universal Grant Guidance.
The board also reviewed a draft of District Hiring Guidelines and administration reviewed with the board the impact of school cancellations on support staff employees. The board expressed understanding of the situation and a willingness to address the issue, but it was tabled to allow for more time to develop a possible solution.
