Rail Service Between Twin Cities and Twin Ports Could Return

(WRN) -Rail service between the Twin Cities and the Twin Ports could return after 34 years.Amtrak has reportedly expressed interest in spending 600-million dollars on a route that would be called the Northern Lights Express, with four round trips offered each day.
Federal grants and local matching funds would pay for the service. One Amtrak official says it could be running in a couple of years.
