Report of Officers at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-It was a quiet meeting for the Neillsville City Council Tuesday evening.The council heard the Report of Officers from Interim Chief of Police Patrick Fehlman. For the month of February, the department had 96 complaints, 51 service calls, 47 traffic citations, 53 traffic warnings, 11 crash investigations, 13 ordinance citations, 13 adult arrests, 3 cases referred to the district attorney’s office, 5 juvenile cases and 59 parking citations. The council also heard the Public Works Report. The usual amount of work was done in the city including cemetery and parks maintenance, equipment maintenance, trimming/pruning trees, maintaining street lighting, filling pot holes, hauling brush and compost and more.
The water department has also been reading water meters. Both the water and the sewer departments have been assisting with snow and ice removal, which the Public Works Department has been working on every day. Finally, the council heard the Heritage Days Committee Report from their meeting on February 27th. They heard an update on Miss Neillsville and Miss Winter Carnival, new events, bands, food vendors, a tourism grant, pottery and more.
