Clark County Woman Sentenced for Dead Dogs Found on Her Property

-A Clark County woman charged after multiple dogs were found dead on her property was sentenced in Clark County Court at the end of February.Marianne Harris was facing 12 counts of failing to supply sufficient food to multiple dogs on her property near Greenwood. When a Clark County Sheriff’s Deputy investigated her property, he found four puppies and five dogs in the woods. Two other dogs were dead in a shed. The dead dogs were malnourished and one was frozen to its kennel.
Harris was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, two counts of failing to provide food for an animal. 10 other charges were dismissed and read in. She was sentenced to 18 months of probation and she can’t have any new animals. She’s scheduled for a restitution hearing on March 19th.
