Marshfield Man Sentenced for Threatening Officers with Knives

-A Marshfield man who threatened police with knives was sentenced in Wood County Court on Monday.In July of 2018, Marshfield officers responded to reports of a man wielding a knife. The man, Patrick Langreck, chased two social workers from his home and threw the knife at their vehicle. When officers arrived, Patrick refused to talk with them and drop the knives. He then started walking toward the officers with the knives. They were able to stop him with bean bag rounds and their K-9 officer.
Langreck was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, two counts of 1st degree recklessly endangering safety. Three other charges were dismissed and read in. He was sentenced to 3 years in prison with 5 years of extend supervision.
