Marshfield Dairy Company Receives Dairy Processor Grant

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -Ten Wisconsin dairy companies have been named recipients of Dairy Processor Grants.The program is administrated through the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture to foster innovation, improve profitability and sustain the long-term viability of the state's dairy processing facilities. The agency says $200,000 was available for the latest round of grants, with a maximum $50,000 allowed for each project. Recipients are required to provide a match of at least 20 percent of the grant amount.
One local grant recipient is Nasonville Dairy of Marshfield and they’ll be receiving $42,000. This year, DATCP received 14 grant requests totaling about $350,000. The ten winning applicants were chosen through a competitive review process.
