January Average Price Received by Farmers for Corn

The January average price received by farmers for corn in Wisconsin was $3.42 per bushel.According to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report, the price was unchanged from December, but 26-cents from the previous January. Soybeans averaged $8.49 per bushel, down 14-cents from December and 72-cents lower than in early 2018. The price of oats were $3.24 per bushel, two-cents lower for the month, but 11-cents higher for the year. All hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $182.00 per ton in January, up $3.00 from December and $59.00 above last January.
The alfalfa hay price was $187.00 per ton, up $1.00 for the month and $57.00 above the previous year. The other hay price averaged $158.00, up $3.00 from December and $64.00 more than January 2018. (Wisconsin Ag Connection)
