Arrest Made In Neillsville Church Vandalism Investigation

Press Release from Neillsville Chief of Police, Scott KlueckmannOn Friday Marhc 1, 2019 at about 6:48 am, Officers from the Neillsville Police Department were called to St. Mary's Church in Neillsville.
When Officers arrived on scene they discovered several religious statues and wall hangings that had been severely damaged throughout the church and worship area. No injuries were reported. It is too early in the investigation to give a damage estimate but damages to church property were significant.
Detectives from the Clark County Sheriff's Office were requested to assist in processing the crime scene while Neillsville Officers followed leads in the case.
One tip lead officers to a person of interest who has since been arrested.
The identity of this person will not me made public at this time due to the on going investigation.
