Abbotsford Man Charged with Possession of Child Pornography Enters Plea

-An Abbotsford man charged for possessing child pornography and child sexual assault entered a plea in Eau Claire County Court on Wednesday.According to court records, in early December of 2018, the Eau Claire Police Department received tips from CyberTips, from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, regarding Garry James. James was living at the Beacon House in Eau Claire. James was arrested and two tablets were seized. During an interview, James admitted to authorities that he assaulted two young girls.
During his court appearance on Wednesday, a plea deal was reached. James pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of child pornography. Nine other charges were dismissed and read in. A Pre-Sentencing Investigation and a Sex Offender Assessment were ordered. James is scheduled to be sentenced in May.
