(WRN) -A bi-partisan group of state lawmakers want to let more convicts try to wipe their records clean.Under the bill, anyone with a single conviction for a low-level, non-violent offense, could ask a judge to expunge the record after completing his-or-her sentence. Right now, a judge in Wisconsin can order a record expunged, if the convict is younger than 25 years old, and doesn’t have a prior felony conviction.
The Assembly passed a similar bill last session, but it died in the Senate.
