Wisconsin DNR Pays Out Less in Wildlife Damages for 2017.

(WRN) -The Department of Natural Resources paid out 808-thousand dollars in wildlife damage claims in 2017.That number is actually less than the year before. The D-N-R denied payment on 18 of the 249 claims because filers failed to meet the program's requirements or the appraisal didn't exceed the 500-dollar deductible.
Damage done by deer represented 81 percent of the appraised damages. Bear and geese accounted for another nine percent each.
