Marshfield Man Appears in Court for High Speed Chase

-One of two people arrested after a high speed chase appeared in Wood County Court on Tuesday.According to the Marshfield Police Department, around 3:30pm on Monday, January 7th, they attempted to pull over a vehicle on the city’s south side. The vehicle sped up and led authorities on a chase through Wood County before it eventually ended in Clark County. Two people, Christopher Gaffney and Josie Lutz, both of Marshfield, were arrested. Officers found 33 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
Gaffney is charged with several possession charges and fleeing an officer. Probable cause was found during his preliminary hearing so his court proceedings will continue. He entered a not guilty plea to the charges against him.
