(Marshfield News Herald) -Burrito and taco enthusiasts hoping to have another option in Marshfield will have to wait a while longer.A Qdoba restaurant that was expected to open in early 2019 has been pushed back to late 2019 or early 2020, said Ron Stokes, president of Roaring Fork Restaurant Group. Roaring Fork Restaurant Group is based in Milwaukee and owns more than 50 Qdoba Mexican Eats locations in Wisconsin. The building being looked at would be a multi-tenant building with another business being located next to Qdoba. The potential Qdoba spot is in front of the Shopko plaza next to Taco Bell.
In May, Stokes said an agreement was "a few signatures away," but that no longer is the case. Issues with a potential lease agreement have delayed the restaurant, but Stokes declined to provide further information. "Leases take time to put together and this one is no different," Stokes said in an email to a USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin reporter. "We are hopeful it will come together."
